I don’t really play first person shooter video games, so I was not familiar with Hitman. I just wanted something with a lot of shooting, some explosions and some good action. Unfortunately for this film, what I really wanted was “Shoot Em Up“. This film left me unsatisfied.
The body count was damn high. Really high actually. At one point the Russian commander said he lost 75 guys and that was just in one scene. The blood splatter was amazing. Though not as amazing as the fact the 47 got the blood off his suit and pristine white shirt quite quickly. I know it is a movie, but it would have been nice to have at least seen him buy another shirt at some point after he bought the suit.
So, if I were a hitman(person) I wouldn’t shave my head bald and have a big tattoo on the back of my head and think I was going to blend into a crowd. I most likely wouldn’t also lead the life a monk. My career would probably be short.
An ok film. High on body count, could have had more action. The story wasn’t bad. I don’t see myself seeking the film out again, but I don’t feel like I wasted 93 minutes of my time either.
A gun-for-hire known only as Agent 47 hired by a group known only as ‘The Agency’ is ensnared in a political conspiracy, which finds him pursued by both Interpol and the Russian military as he treks across Eastern Europe.
