Despite the ass kicking this kid received in this film, I still want to be smart enough to go to MIT. Never have been, never will be, actually probably way too old to go to school and take tests like that ever again, but still…
And Vegas. I love Vegas. One of my best friends lives in Vegas and I just don’t get there. Still waiting for the teleportation thing to be perfected I guess and the fact that walking anywhere near the town costs me money I just don’t have.
So this film takes some of the smartest kids at MIT and puts them in Vegas. Fun ensues until stuff goes wrong. Sort of like in every movie about Vegas. At least no one was a hooker or drank themselves to death or jumped out of a plane as an Elvis impersonator (hey, where was Nicholas Cage anyway).
Nice twist ending, though somewhat expected as I would have taken that deal at the first slap (Cowboy Curtis, the enforcer). Hope the kid got the scholarship.
“21″ is the fact-based story about six MIT students who were trained to become experts in card counting and subsequently took Vegas casinos for millions in winnings.
