I watched this film always eager to find out what happened. The assemblage from one death to another was unusually mixed with the story of Sammy Jankis. Told in small vingettes that linked to previous events, with notes, photos, and phone calls driving the story backwards.
The story shows the worst of everyone involved. How you can justify your actions through revenge. How people can manipulate others to get what they want. How people will take advantage of a disability in someone to make the most of a situation.
Pantoliano, Moss, and Pearce were great. None like able by the end of the film, all playing on our sympathies throughout the story line.
A man, suffering from short-term memory loss, uses notes and tattoos to hunt for the man he thinks killed his wife.
