This movie could have made a great statement about commercial culture and how it is running/ruining us as a society. We are becoming to easily controlled by media and advertising.
Instead it tried SOOOOO hard to be Lynch-esque that the message they appeared to have been trying to make got REALLY lost. Instead devolving into too many odd angled shots, creepy lighting, empty boxes, machines that live, games that talk, cops that are more frightening than the real killer and overpriced groceries.
I can’t recommend it. It wanted to do more than it did. I wanted it to do less than it was.
