Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day (2008)

July 22nd, 2009 · No Comments

Charming film about a down and out woman that falls into a social secretary position for a wanna be starlet.

McDormand and Adams work well together. They bring out the best in each other when in scenes together.

The story is predictable and somewhat too adorable, but enjoyable nonetheless. It is a fast 90 minutes with good performances and great costuming.

If you can get over the fact that you pretty much know what is going to happen next, this is a goofy romp through pre WWII society.
