Ricky Gervais as the completely misanthropic dentist turned romantic is an odd concept. I never expect Gervais to play a romantic anything. But he pulls it off to a point with subtle humor. It is sort of fun to watch the character grow and learn that how he is living isn’t really working for him or anyone else.
For me the film felt a bit slow, but not slow enough to not want to know what happened.
It is worth at least a single watch to see Gervais out of his comfort zone and pulling it off for the most part.
Bertram Pincus, is a man whose people skills leave much to be desired. When Pincus dies unexpectedly, but is miraculously revived after seven minutes, he wakes up to discover that he now has the annoying ability to see ghosts.
