Movies We Watch

I have seen a lot of films that were nominated or even won Academy Awards and I could not figure out why they had even been nominated. But this film deserved the award and any other that it got.

The story was told through flash backs to a young orphans life and the people he knew. There was never a moment where I wanted to look at my watch to see how much longer this fim was. The characters were all well written to the point that you even cared about the worst of them.

I can see this movie becoming one I have to stop and watch. Interesting, great characters, great story telling. Did I know it would be a happy ending, of course. Did I care? No, I wanted it that way.
