Movies We Watch

Though I found this film enjoyable for some Saturday night viewing, I did have a few problems.

1. Who believes that Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway are the same age? Though the two actresses supposedly only have 3 years difference in their actual age, I fail to actually believe it.

2. What kind of a mother allows her daughter to obsess so much about a wedding at least 20 years in the future to the point of where that child will risk a friendship over it?

3. Was this sponsored by “Weddings at the Plaza”?

I lived in NYC for 10 years and was lucky enough to never meet one of these obsessed brides. I hear they do exist, and I find that sad.

So the film was silly, over the top, delivered lessons, a happy ending and a set up for a sequel. What more could you want in fluffy chick flicks?
