Johnny Depp looks great in this film. Since you know the ending, it is just a matter of how they interpret the story. Enjoyable enough.

The Feds try to take down notorious American gangsters John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd during a booming crime wave in the 1930s.
This film was as good as everyone (yep, even the critics) said it was.
Engrossing tale and life lessons based on the Dylan mythology/story. Amazing performances by everyone that showed up in this film, and there were a lot of familiar faces here. I enjoyed the music, the stories. I was entertained and moved. The only thing I didn’t like about the film was being reminded how great Heath Ledger was as an actor and knowing I won’t be able to see him be brilliant like this again.
I want to curl up with this film again on a rainy afternoon. And luckily there have been plenty of those.

Ruminations on the life of Bob Dylan, where six characters embody a different aspect of the musician’s life and work.
This was not a pleasant film. It was good. The characters were well written and well acted. The film was just harsh. I wouldn’t watch it again and I wouldn’t recommend it unless you are looking for a character study of the highly unstable.

A tough-minded drama about two friends in South Central Los Angeles and the violence that comes between them.
Saw this in the theatre. Digital Projection. Wish we were a couple hours closer to an IMAX screening.
This film was dark, suspenseful, interesting and didn’t feel long as 2.5 hours. I still liked IronMan better though.
Ledger was disturbing. If you didn’t know it was him, you would have never known. The voice, mannerisms, and look was so not like what we have seen before. A complete transformation. And who can resist a villian walking away from a hospital in a nurses uniform in full insane splendor? I can honestly say he is missed.

Robert and Alfred are rival magicians. When Alfred performs the ultimate magic trick, Robert tries desperately to find out the secret to the trick.
The transformation that Christian Bale goes through in this film both physically and emotionally is quite amazing. Sleep is good.

Trevor Reznik is a lathe-operator who suffers from insomnia and hasn’t slept in a year. Slowly, he begins to doubt his sanity as increasingly bizarre things start happening at work and at home. Haunted by a deformed co-worker who no one seems to think exists, and an ongoing stream of indecipherable Post-It notes he keeps finding on his fridge, he attempts to investigate what appears to be a mysterious plot against him and, in the process, embroils two women in his madness.
We saw the first couple Batman films in the theatre and then just stopped going. This would have been great to see in the theatre. I like Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne. Could have used less Katie Holmes.
