A remarkable cast full of people I really like in a rather unremarkable film. This film seemed to just wander until it sort of made a point, but not really.
I did enjoy seeing The Clooney playing such a nice yet unbelievable dirt bag. Pitt was funny and came to an unexpected end. I wish someone would give Tilda a role where she wasn’t mean. Malkovich really knows how to handle a hatchet. And Frances McDormand is just a great time to watch.
The film was ok, the performances were quite good. Not sure if I would recommend it, it certainly doesn’t merit additional viewings.

A disk containing the memoirs of a CIA agent ends up in the hands of two unscrupulous gym employees who attempt to sell it.
I have to watch films with George Clooney in them. He is just damn likeable as well as nice to look at.
This film was witty, the pace was quick enough to not leave one thinking something should have been cut, and the chick was smart, funny, quick and pretty (enough). I didn’t even mind that the film was about football.
The relationships between the main characters was tight and fun. The fight scene between Clooney and Krasinski near the railroad tracks was quite amusing or at least the lead up to it where they both determine they should only be hit in the face. The initial meeting between Clooney and Zellweger had some great back and forth and kept that old movie feel of that building sexual tension through gesture and conversation that is lacking in so many movies today.
A film about a different time, using techniques from early films. Pleasant, fun, I’d catch it again on a rainy day.

A romantic comedy set against the backdrop of America’s nascent pro-football league in 1925. The captain hopes his latest move will help the struggling sport finally capture the country’s attention. Welcome to the team Carter Rutherford, America’s favorite son. A golden-boy war hero who single-handedly forced multiple German soldiers to surrender in WWI, Carter has dashing good looks and unparalleled speed on the field. This new champ is almost too good to be true, and Lexie Littleton aims to prove that’s the case. A cub journalist playing in the big leagues, Lexie is a spitfire newswoman who suspects there are holes in Carter’s war story.
This was a great film. Start to finish interesting. Very little expected in the plot line. I enjoyed this movie enough to consider reading the book. The Clooney was, as usual, great.

Thankfully it was so much better than Ocean’s 12. Not up to 11, but still fun.

Ah, the Clooney. He escapes from prison, is pursued, and makes a country record.
Clooney and the Coens just go good together.
