Great voice cast in this sweet film about “Monsters” that defeat the aliens and save the world. The 3D thing is a bit overdone and really irrelevant when watching it on a television. But none of the effects were bothersome.
When a meteorite from outer space hits a young woman and turns her into a giant monster, she is taken to a secret government compound where she meets a ragtag group of monsters also rounded up over the years.
There were a lot of people in this film that were very recognizable and of name in Hollywood film, and yet I never remember hearing about it.
This film paints a very dark picture of the LAPD. So few of the officers aren’t corrupt that you actually feel for the officer that kills all the bad guys without following the rules. I can say after watching this film, I wouldn’t want to be a resident of LA if even a quarter of this film was base on fact. But it wasn’t, it was based on a novel.
Pretty good, longer than it had to be, an ok watch just to see all the people playing complete dirt bags.
Tom Ludlow is a veteran LAPD cop who finds life difficult to navigate after the death of his wife. When evidence implicates him in the execution of a fellow officer, he is forced to go up against the cop culture he’s been a part of his entire career, ultimately leading him to question the loyalties of everyone around him.
